Uji city has a beautiful scenery of the Uji River, which is running through
the city. It is blessed with the rich history and cultural assets such
as Byodoin Temple and Ujikami Shrine, world heritage sites. Uji tea and
related products such as sweets and foods mixed with uji tea are unique
products of this city. Kyoto Fushimi is blessed with a good quality groundwater.
A famous sake brewery museum is located in this area. Fushimi Inari Shrine
is the head shrine of all Inari shrines in Japan, the shrines where the
god of harvest is worshiped. Countless red Toriis of the shrine are most
attractive for visitors.
